Not sure if this is an Adamant problem or a SE: IV problem but I'm trying to invade a planet and ground combat is generating divide by zero errors. I suspect this has something to do with the fact that the AI apparently built several hundred troops and neglected to arm them. (Although they do have shiny medals...)

Is my game borked?

If the entire troop has zero hitpoints, that would probably cause it.

AI needs a smack, I think

Which race are you invading? I could have sworn that I fixed all of those designs... argh.

Err... I don't know. But whoever it is my system likes to stick them in because my next 2 games also crashed on the same bug, but during an NPCs turn. Oi. If it's at all helpfull I'm reasonably sure that the shiny but useless badge the troops were given in lieu of arms was pictured as component Comp_1243.

Rather that start umpteen new threads I'll just post more questions here. Laughing

I'm trying a nomadic race and... I can't seem to resupply without a handy planet. Seems a little odd given that being nomadic is the whole point of the racial trait.

I have made some dedicated supply ships designed to generate more supplies than they can use, but unlike in SE:V I can't seem to just manually transfer supplies at my whim. Further there doesn't seem to be any automatic sharing of supply overflow, except when the ships are in the same fleet and then the transference seems to be about 2% of the surplus. Is that right?

What good is hitting the road when there are no gas stations? Do I need to put supply generators in every single ship? That will definitely screw with My design strategy... Confused

Also the ability to build lab ships is cool. It inability to build lab bases as cheaply as the normal races... seems like a glaring deficit, given the other benefits of using nice cheap supply free bases as opposed to my auto-gimped lab ships that don't actually have any room for engines or weapons once I stuck in the mandatory recycleing node. <- It didn't seem like such a run on sentance in my head. Rolling Eyes

On the plus side it's an easily replicable error. The downside is my games are all becoming... irritating.

This time round it's the Farquaz Consortium.

Question, what version of the mod are you playing?

The Farquaz Consortium is Race: Neutral008. Do you happen to remember the names of the other races who caused this error?

0.16.5 Which is the latest version as far as I can tell. (And released on my birthday, apparently. Cool )

Have you put resupply ships in with fleets? I think that was the ticket w/ SE4.

I remember the research bases... They were REASONABLY cheap with the maintenance minimizer. Not good enough, mind you, just better.

Of course, with the number I would have to build to keep up with a terrestrial race, I would be the evil overlord in 10 turns...

I decided they were only good for being traders - the research bit was pointless at its cost. It would have been cool to be the "Alternate Reality" bad guys Sad

All types of AI races seem to be able to create valid troop designs, at any tech level start.
