I came across a bug in some of the neutrals' AI research files where they had been instructed to research "Illusiary Armor" instead of "Illusory Armor". I just did a quick search and replace and it cleared up my installation from having turn generation woes.

Which version are you using? The Illusory Armor AI bug was patched several versions back. The latest patch is available here, and I just confirmed that the correct research file is in the patch file.

Sorry for the thread-necro. Using the latest version (16.10). Am I supposed to get fleet carriers before heavy carriers? Relevent tech requirements;
Heavy Carrier
Code: | Tech Area Req 1 := Fighters
Tech Level Req 1 := 4
Tech Area Req 2 := Large Ship Construction
Tech Level Req 2 := 3 |
Fleet Carrier
Code: | Tech Area Req 1 := Fighters
Tech Level Req 1 := 5
Tech Area Req 2 := Large Ship Construction
Tech Level Req 2 := 2 |
Considering its size, shouldn't the Fleet Carrier require Huge Ship Construction instead?

Sorry for the ancient necro, but the divide-by-zero ground combat bug reported back in '08 is still in place, at least with the Cluk-Ruks and, given the one with that problem in the previous report, probably all neutral empires.
