Two thousand, four hundred years since disaster struck. The plague wiped out all known biological life, and the already unstable nature of the galaxy prevented the formation of sentient energy lifeforms.
Two thousand, four hundred years... and in that time, the machines left behind by the organic races struck down by the plague have had time to achieve sentience - one way or another - and now know they are not alone. This time has also given them ample opportunity to develop unique differences from their competitors - whilst some may originally have been mining robots, others may have been combat robots, or others may have been construction droids. Each faction will have it's own little twists that make it different.
The fight for the galaxy has just begun. The last mech standing will be the ultimate 'top dog' of this fallen galaxy. Alliances may rise and fall between machine factions, and maybe the only true way to survive is to band with another faction.
It's a scary galaxy out there. Kill or be killed. Function as intended, or you'll be recycled into scrapmetal. Unnatural selection of the highest order.
Some survive as any other race would. Some survive by taking weaker machines apart and taking what knowledge they can from them, and some survive by reducing maintenance requirements to absolute minimum, meaning they can support large fleets on low incomes. No matter which way you decide to play, your goal is survival and eradication of all those who will not join your cause.
Welcome... to the Machine Wars!

Please try and use a mechanical looking shipset. Perfect examples are the SJ, Machine Hive, Mok, Akah, and Mok`Akah.
You are forbidden from playing non-Machine type races. Kind of defeats the entire point of having the Machine Wars.
Also note, Intelligence is disabled. I dislike it, and I do not think it would be feasible against mechanical lifeforms who could almost certainly detect one not of their own design amongst them.
Traits;
Code:
MUST-HAVE:
Imperial Aspirations
Machine Race
Normal/Pirate/Nomad Race (For M-War, Pirates are "Scavenger" Robots, and Nomads are "Hyperefficient" Robots)
[Planet Type] Natives (If Normal, Else Do Nothing)
RECOMMENDED:
Min Intel
Emotionless (new and old players may find Adamant's recently added Happiness modifiers on facilities troublesome, so this is highly recommended)
Min Happiness

(Looks like I need to make emotionless cost more than 500 points, now that you can't just use a few troops to emulate it as a normal race...) Smarter than your average Texrak. Back to top

Oh, no! It's Andross!
Sounds like fun... but IIRC you shouldn't need a natives trait if you are a pirate or nomad, right?
edit: OK, I joined... hehe, this will be fun playing as one of those scutter things from Red Dwarf! That's no space station - it's a spreadsheet! Back to top
I want to, I want to! I just can't find SE4 any more! sorry There is a fine line between Genius and Insanity. I am firmly on one side of that line! Back to top
AMW is still accepting signups. Come on people, I've been debugging the Machines like mad for Fyron! Hop to! 6 slots to go! Unofficial Adamant 0.16.xx Bug Hunter Back to top
I'll see if I can fix up a machine-race, but please bear with me a little, since this'll be my first online game. (no need to go easy game-wise, just tell me how to send in my turns)
Is there a forum somewhere that I just can't find, or where do I sign up?
Methinks I found it. I've signed up and applied for your game. So now I wait until approved and then upload a race? Back to top
I've uploaded my race. Is there any reason (for instance, because the game hasn't started yet?) that I don't have access to the game's forum? Back to top
The game's forum is accessible from the globe/planet icon on the right hand side on PBW. There is no official forum for it here. Unofficial Adamant 0.16.xx Bug Hunter Back to top
