Launching Upload Module [ Digg ]

We here at SEnet are proud to announce the unveiling of the brand new Uploads module.
With this module, members can finally submit files to the Downloads Database without resorting to dirty intermediary file hosting services. From here on out, one can upload a new mod, shipset, etc. via the Uploads module, and use the generated file url when submitting it to the Downloads database. For any permanent file release, this is the preferred method, rather than providing direct file links to end users.
The buggy and error-prone Attachment mod in the Forums will be phased out. Instead, you may use the Uploads module to upload attached images and such. For larger artwork, the Image Gallery is a better fit for long-term hosting. |
